We have arranged Room Blocks at The Woodstock Inn and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites White River Junction. A shuttle will provide transportation to and from the wedding for guests staying at the Holiday Inn. Just mention the “Carle-Felder Wedding” when you book at either of these locations.
The following list includes more information about lodging options in the area. Please let us know if you have any questions. We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible. It is peak tourist season in northern New England during this time.

Transportation
If you are able to drive (or rent a car, or carpool), we recommend it. Vermont is a rural area with limited public transportation (plus, a drive through Vermont in the Fall is beautiful).
However, our wedding is also accessible via public transportation. If you are planning to travel exclusively via public transportation, we recommend staying at the Holiday Inn White River Junction, and using the following steps:
Fly to Boston or New York
Take Dartmouth Coach (Regional Bus) or Amtrak (Train) to Hanover/White River Junction
Take Advance Transit (Local Bus) to the Holiday Inn
Take the shuttle to/from our wedding.

The Woodstock Inn & Resort offers complimentary on site (and valet) parking for all wedding guests.
No guest parking is permitted at the reception site (Kelly Way Gardens). A shuttle will provide transportation between the Ceremony and the Reception.

A wedding shuttle will offer transportation between the Holiday Inn & Suites White River Junction and the Woodstock Inn & Resort on wedding day.
The shuttle will depart White River Junction at 2:15 pm and arrive in Woodstock in time for the wedding Ceremony. After the Reception, the shuttle will depart Woodstock at 10:00pm and return guests to White River Junction.
Additionally, wedding shuttles have been organized to transport guests between the Ceremony (at Paul Barn) and the Reception (at Kelly Way Gardens).

A free local bus that can provide transportation between the Hanover Bus station, White River Junction train station, and the Holiday Inn.
Note: this service does not run Sunday mornings; coordinate with other guests to have them drop you off at the bus/train station.

Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park
Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park was home to three generations of conservationists whose deep connection to this land fueled their lifelong dedication to conservation and land stewardship. Their work and advocacy played a pivotal role in the rise of the American Conservation Movement, establishment of the Vermont and U.S. Forest Services, and creation of our national parks.
Tour the Estate & explore the trails of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, including the path to The Pogue, a mountain-top lake. You can also hike up Mount Tom for panoramic views.

Quechee Gorge
The Quechee Gorge is located in Quechee, Vermont along U.S. Route 4. The gorge is 165 feet deep and is the deepest gorge in Vermont. It can be viewed from the U.S. Route 4 bridge and from trails on both sides of the gorge.
